A new life with the same floor

This family moved in at the most delicate of moments: she was nine months pregnant and there was very little time to pull the home together. The budget made one thing clear: keep the existing floor, even if it wasn't quite their style, and work with everything else to turn a house that didn't feel like them into something functional and contemporary.
The layout stayed largely the same, but the interior design project was mapped out step by step, so they could complete the home over time with a clear plan to follow even after our involvement ended. We took care of everything: from gathering quotes to selecting furniture, finishes and the color palette.
The thread running through it all is green, present in every room, with an orange accent in the main bedroom. The living area anchors itself around a deep green dining table, while wallpaper becomes the project's signature: a lead role in the living room and the bedrooms. In the child's room, a map-inspired paper grows with him, in the parents' room, a rich paper played in beige, dove grey and deep brown keeps things balanced and refined.
Modern furniture in wood, anthracite black and smoked glass sits in deliberate contrast with the vintage marble-effect floor, while the walls, painted in a warm grey rather than stark white, soften the atmosphere throughout.
A project designed to grow alongside the family, where the constraints of the beginning become part of the story.
